      Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels are precast polyacrylamide gels designed for optimal separation of your small- to medium-sized proteins under denaturing conditions. Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels are designed to deliver consistent gel performance and provide a neutral pH environment that minimizes protein modifications. Bolt gels are ideal for western blot transfer and analysis, and any other techniques where protein integrity is crucial. Also use Bolt gels to obtain optimal results for your day-to-day protein separation needs. Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels come in four polyacrylamide concentrations: 8, 10, 12, and 4-12% gradient and multiple well formats.       Choose the right Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels for your protein separation
      Obtain optimal separation of your proteins by choosing the right combination of gel and running buffer. Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels come in four polyacrylamide concentrations: 8%, 10%, 12%, and 4–12% gradient. The gels can be run using Bolt MES SDS or Bolt MOPS SDS running buffer to obtain different separation ranges. Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels consist of a neutral pH-buffered (pH 6.4) polyacrylamide gel and have an operating pH of about 7.0. Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels also come in four different well formats: 10, 12, 15, and 17 wells.

      Convenient to use
      Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels can be run using constant voltage in approximately 35 minutes with the Bolt MES running buffer. Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels offer sharper bands, high resolution, longer shelf life, and higher accuracy of results than Tris-glycine–based gels. In addition, Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels have innovative wedge-shaped wells that allow up to two times more sample load volume than other 1.0-mm-thick gels. The wedge-shaped wells also have larger openings, making sample loading easier. And Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels have a shelf life of at least 16 months at 4°C to 25°C.

      Novex™ 10%, Tricine, 1.0 mm, Mini Protein Gel, 10-well Invitrogen™

      Invitrogen Novex Tricine Gels provide separation of low molecular weight proteins and peptides. The Tricine system is a modification of the tris-glycine discontinuous buffer system developed by Schaegger and von Jagow (Schaegger and von Jagow, 1987) specifically for resolving peptides and low molecular weight proteins. In this system the tricine replaces the glycine in the running buffer, resulting in more efficient stacking and destacking for low molecular weight proteins and higher resolution of smaller peptides.

      Features of Novex Tricine protein gels:
      • Increased resolution of proteins with molecular weights as low as 2 kDa
      • Improved compatibility with direct sequencing of proteins after transferring to PVDF
      • Minimized protein modification due to the lower pH of the tricine buffering system

      Formulation: Invitrogen Tricine gels are made with high-purity, strictly quality-controlled reagents: Tris base, HCl, acrylamide, bisacrylamide, TEMED, APS, and highly purified water. Our Tricine gels have a 4% stacking gel and do not contain SDS. The Tricine system requires SDS in sample and running buffers for best results.

      Choose the right Tricine gel for your protein separation
      Invitrogen Tricine gels come in three polyacrylamide concentrations of 10%, 16%, and a gradient of 10–20%. Select from our many well formats, including 10-, 12-, and 15-well. Tricine gels are formulated for denaturing gel electrophoresis applications. For optimal sample preparation, we recommend Tricine SDS Sample Buffer and optimal separation use Tricine SDS Running Buffer.

      For transfer of proteins to a membrane, we recommend using the Novex Tris-Glycine Transfer Buffer if performing a traditional wet transfer using the XCell II Blot Module or the Mini Blot Module. Rapid semi-dry transfer can be performed using the Invitrogen Power Blotter or rapid dry transfer using the iBlot 2 Gel Transfer Device.

      SYBR™ Green I Nucleic Acid Gel Stain - 10,000X concentrate in DMSO Invitrogen™

      SYBR® Green I Nucleic Acid Gel Stain is one of the most sensitive stains available for detecting double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) in agarose and polyacrylamide gels. Because SYBR® Green I has greater sensitivity for dsDNA, it is especially useful for assays where the presence of contaminating RNA or ssDNA might obscure results. With exceptionally low background fluorescence and spectral characteristics that closely match light sources and filter sets in existing instruments, SYBR® Green I stain is ideal for use with laser scanners. SYBR® Green I stain provides:

      Sensitivity—at least four times greater than ethidium bromide for DNA in agarose gels
      Ease of use—gels soaked in diluted stain can be visualized without desalting
      Compatibility—with UV transilluminators, gel documentation systems, and laser scanners
      Flexibility—for use with a broad range of applications, including DNA typing, PCR-based assays, DNA damage assays, analysis of complex samples, and real-time PCR detection

      Protein A Agarose Invitrogen™

      Protein A Agarose is suitable for purifying IgG molecules from a variety of species, fractionation of IgG fragments, fractionation of cells tagged with IgG, and isolation of antigen-antibody complexes. In addition, Protein A interacts with some classes of IgM and IgA. The matrix consists of purified Protein A covalently attached to cross-linked 4% agarose beads using the cyanogen bromide method. Protein A Agarose can bind >18 mg of human IgG/mL of gel.

      Performance and quality testing
      Binding capacity for human IgG is determined by affinity chromatography.

      Ethidium Bromide Solution (0.625 mg/mL) Thermo Scientific™

      Thermo Scientific Pierce Ethidium Bromide is available as a dilute (0.625 mg/mL) solution to accommodate most molecular biology applications for fluorescent DNA visualization.

      Features of Ethidium Bromide Solution:

      • Each drop contains 25 µg of ethidium bromide and is ideal for a 50 mL agarose gel
      • After adding one drop of solution per 50 mL of gel, the final concentration of EtBr will be 0.5 µg/mL, which is the recommended concentration for electrophoresis of nucleic acids
      • Can also be used as the running buffer or for staining gels after electrophoresis
